Bread Winners

Part of the Food Bank strategy has been, where possible, to source and encourage the resurgence of local business, and to this end the idea of home grown and freshly produced food was introduced, to bring a super healthy mix to the parcels.

So many bread bakers across Harbour Island and North Eleuthera were invited to roll up their sleeves to help their neighbors. Incredibly, several thousand loaves were baked between our communities and delivered by the Food Bank teams.
